Make sure you computer doesn't contains any viruses or trojan You may try TuneUp Utilities 2007 that speed up your pc well. Don;t run too many application at one time or clean some temporary files by using CCleaner (a good free program) You also need to defragment your HDD to run/open application more faster. if you went to a xxx site.and afterwards the pc started slowing down. you may have spyware or virus. if you use a brand name program not some free junk which i found out the hard way sometimes cleans the junk you want but adds its own junk to your pc. you should be ok. try webroot spysweeper,it should be able to clean your pc out of the stuff slowing it down. also avast antivirus can also scan for viruses that may slow down or stop your pc from running right
