free membership on runescape!!!

hey all i think that the membership on the runescape must be free because i'm not going to pay 5$/month to be able to go to the cool places of the game. Are you with me? And what do you think about free runescape memberships?

i think runescape membership is fair...
when you look at other web based rpgs, you don't find many that offer free severs, look at WoW, you have to go to the shop to buy it, then you have to pay $5 a month to play it online... they have no free servers at all, all you do is pay all the time or not play.
with runescape, you can play as a free player until you die, and they wont stop you playing, you can become a member, and then not pay it any more and go back to free play if you wish.
paying $5 a month pays for jagexs time, they frequently update members, new quests monsters, items and areas, it is well worth the money if you want to pay for it.
if you don't like the fee, don't pay it and stick to all the non member stuff :)

...It's well worth it. I paid $5 for just 1 month to see if it was any good, and I got hooked. Been a member for over 2 years now, and I can't see myself going back. Loads of items, all the new skills, all the new quests, all the new areas, all the new minigames...It goes on forever. Why not just try it for a month, and cancel if you decide its not worth it. I'd bet you'd get hooked...

Runescape membership should be free, but if the good things in the life were all free, then people would not make money off of it. Jagex is living in money right now, and I don't think they will give up their dream until their money pool starts shrinking and less people paying for membership, but I don't think that will ever happen, at least not for a few more years.

Runescape membership is not free. I have one myself and it did cost. The other guy is right why would they create a game if they are going to get noting from it?
