I watch this show on Sunday night. I find myself wanting the people not to win any money. Not because I'm a jealous jerk. It is because some of these people don't even make 40 thousand a year. The board is working against them & they turn down the banker. I am with them until they are offered over 6 figures and they turn it down and end up with 20 grand. Sometimes it is correct to turn it down if the board is working in there favor. When the board is not in there favor and they turn it down. Well that is when I hope they lose because now there not smart. There turning down more money than they make in 2 years. Some people think I'm a jerk for wanting them to lose at that point. What is your opinion? Our there other people that feel this way?

tsk, tsk - we should all want for our fellow man the best of what we want for ourselves. so what if the contestants are not behaving like most people who have to work regular jobs and struggle to get ahead? so what if they turn their backs on lump sums of money most of us will never see all at once - ever? dude, they're on tv!! they're caught up in the thrill of possibility! How many times have you heard someone say "I came with nothing, it's okay if I leave with nothing" or "I came to play" - now, that's the spirit of the game! Personally? I couldn't do it. I might just freak out and take the first thing over 500 dollars that came my way - hey, that's good groceries for at least a month!

I'd go for $500, it'd pay a few bills that's for sure.

When people try out for the show, they profile people and take only those who they think will keep going (because they think it makes the show more exciting). Most of the people on there are pretty stupid when it comes to taking or not taking the deals. If someone offered me $50,000 for free, I'd take it! These people are so willing to throw it away at a small "chance" that they'll get more. What a waste.

I've never seen this show. Doesn't sound like one I'd want to watch.

There are times where I have hoped that the person did not win any money or won very little. Mainly I will cheer against them if they get too greedy and do not stop at a certain point, especially if they get an offer over $100,000. The greedier they get the more I root against them. I will also do this if they are acting really stupid and crazy and doing ridiculous things on stage. Most of the time I find them funny and laugh and hope they win but in some cases they were annoying.

I'm not sure I'd agree, the point of these contestants is to make their run as exciting as possible. It's likely most of them walk away with very little.
