I'm not at all superstitious. As a matter of fact when I lived with my parents we had a big black cat. I'm use to seeing a black cat around so they don't disturb me. I never cross my fingers. I don't think going under a ladder is back luck either. The only thing bad about that is the possibility of the person falling or them falling on you. If anything I think the classic 7 years of bad luck come to mind when I see broken glass, but normally I just see it as an inconvenience of broken glass and am more worried about cleaning it up so no one steps on it.

Hi, yes I do believe in them especially the black cat, and the breaking of a mirror, I am very superstitious, but they say that black friday is a day for bad luck but I do not believe this anymore as I met my husband on this particular day, so that counts that one out and now I look forward to this particular day!!

I do not think of myself as a superstitious person. I am not worried if i break a mirror, or if a black cat crosses the road in fromt of me. I do not think friday the thirteenth is an unlucky day. But there is one thing that bothers me a bit: Chainletters. I hate those. Especially like the one I received today. It states i'll have luck in my life if I send the email letter to 20 people. Then it goes on to tell me about all the bad luck that fell upon those who ignored the letter. I do not really believe in it, but I do not feel good about ignoring them either. I really do not need any bad luck.

I myself don't worry about superstitions, but as I live in India, I see a lot of people who do believe in superstitions. Amongst the educated lot, they don't believe in it till things start going wrong for them, then suddenly they start believing in each of these superstitions and get crazy. As a human being I sometimes find it silly, but then one way of looking at things tells me that even God is a superstition. Cheers! Ram
