What's the appeal of WWE ?

My husband watches wrestling and I cannot begin to see one bit of entertainment value in it. He cannot watch it while I am in the room. I know, I know - to each his own but, please, help me to understand. Surely there's more to it than the barbaric senselessness that I can make out. After all, millions of ADULTS the world over are into this stuff. It's obviously not about wrestling - heck, there IS NO wrestling, as the sport is defined. I know I can be snobbish when I'm turned off by something and I'm trying to be nicer to my husband, I really want to be fair - but I absolutely don't get the point. Are there any WWE fans who can help me out? Thanks.

WWE is a sport that is getting the attention of millions of viewers and I am a lover of WWE, but i will really advice you to always try if you cant, Use all effort to make Him feel happy while watching that. Sit close to him and see what he is watching that increases love in marriages and also that has also lead some homes broken, Because He wants to feel comfortable in His own home and If the wife seems not liking the sports He likes, He then move to the place where same sport values are found and i am afraid something might happen, So Love what He likes and Is a Sport , to me Is fun to while away time and everyone has its own view.

Oh, my husband would love this response. I am not the "good little woman". I do not wear pearls while vacuuming and I do not have his slippers waiting at the door. AND I do not snuggle while I watch programs that I do not like. Don't get me wrong, you're right, my husband would love that. He would also wonder what aliens had taken over my body! Besides, I don't make him attend the opera with me, which I love. He says that he would go but I'd rather go by myself than with someone who'd rather be in hell than in the seat next to me. The saying "to each his own" may certainly be true - but it's not always easy to live with. Thanks for your thoughtful response.

Alright, Tom, my friend. I don't want to gang up on you but you give a good example of what I mean when I say I want to be fair. It's not fair to say that women watch soaps ( I don't) or that men in tights are attractive (I prefer those football teams that wear white pants) just like it's not fair for me to turn off to my husband because he watches a program that I find ridiculous. It's not fair for me to say that my husband is primitive because he likes primitive entertainment - even though I feel that way. But then, some WWE fan, such as yourself, comes along and says something that primitive and proves my point. Also, thanks for making me aware that my husband might just be watching for the girls in bikinis - I never even considered that!

Well i dont know if i can help you understand, but the way i see it is its a soap opera for men.. lol i watch it time from time with my hubby, just not as appealing to me as it used to be when it was just wrestling and none of the crap it is today.
