My mom fell at work on a lose floor tile. Worker's Comp is trying to get out of paying her wages and medical bills because she fell just before she was officially clocked in. She has a dislocated shoulder and a possible fracture in her hip, she is going to be out of work for at least a week.
Her health insurance says it is a comp issue so now nobody knows who is going to pay the bills.

I know of a few people were forced to go back to work before there doctor said it was ok but a company doctor said it was fine. Another that becasue he had private insureance he could not collect from them and vise versa. From what i have seen here in BC that unless you break or bleed they make it very hard to collect.
