Wer cannot install OS on a phone although the phone is Symbian. These OSes comes embedded inside the phone(ROM). You can always look for updates of the OS for your phone on NOKIA'a site and ask a care center to upgrade it for you if upgrades are available. They will charge for it.

At present no phone can be used to change its OS.All these are programed in the ROM so if something happens it can be safely restarted. If u rae using symbian then install a file manager.U can see the Z drive which is the ROM drive.U will notice that all system files are present in that and you cant delete the data in that drive.but u can change the firmware of your OS by taking it to the care centre.
