should parents give thier school going children CELL PHONE??

Recently i was traveling in a bus, in a stop many school children got into the bus. They were high school students. I heard a phone ring and one of the girl picked up the call. I was taken aback, I never got pocket money in my school days.
how far it is good to give a cell phone to school going children?? good or bad ??

Hi Divya...I think cell phones should be given to school going children but there must be some conditions applied.Like parents should always check if child is misusing it or over using it.There should not be any increase in pocket money for cell phone expenses.Parents should ask their children to save some money to get it recharged next time.With all these kind of restrictions children will not be able to misuse it and the purpose of their parents of being connected with them will also be solved.What do you say???

With every thing that goes on these day yes I think a cell phone is necessary. I want to know where my child is at all times and if they are going to be late. My grandaughter has on since she started driving because I want to know that if she has any car trouble she can call home or if there is any other trouble she has a way to contact me ot the police..
