Yes, quitting is very hard. I'm in the process of quitting myself. I've been cutting down and next week plan to quit all together. I've read that setting a quit date and planning for it may help. I've quit before in the past but am finding it much harder to quit this time. I'm going to try the nicotine gum this time. I think the most important thing is that you want to quit. Try to make a list of reasons why you want to quit, and how your life will be positively impacted once you quit. Best of luck to you!! :)

It can be hard to give up but just keep trying. my sons girlfriend tried, she managed 2 days but today she is smoking again. she has only had 2 so is trying to cut down and maybe next time she will manage. I gave up over 10 years ago and I am glad I did, it is worth it once you have done it.

this is a hard job but this is not im possible. the major contribution is of motivation than replacement therapy. if u=you are highly motivated and able to bear its withdrawl an resist craving then u can easily quit it. i was also a heavy smoker but i am living living a smoke free life.
