Blackberry - Any tips how to maximize the capability

I owned a Blackberry 8707 but I am trying to maximize the usage. Currently, I am using the blackberry just for my e-mail, calendar and web browser. Is the any others feature that can be used and how to use them? And can I use my Blackberry as a modem?

It's a smartphone, that basically just has a lot of features like PDA, email, internet, etc its usually used in buisnesses
