found Tomb of Jesus is actually good news for Christians

OK, I know that may sound crazy because all the non believers want to find bones, that will ease the uncertainty of what will become of them after this life. However, you've heard the old saying, a silver lining in every cloud. Well, maybe this appears to be a potential cloud to Christians, but there are a lot of reasons why this is actually support for our beliefe as Christians. First, I would like to dispute the evidence as shown. This was the second weakest evidentiary documentary topped only by Geraldo Riviera's Al Capones Vault. For a scientific endeavor it was link after link of if's which is not sound evidence to begin with. Second, the tomb has been opened, everything removed by the IAA, (Israel Antiquities Authority), who because of their disbelief have motivation to present bones of Jesus, even if they don't exist, the tomb was left open for a time meaning anyone could have ventured and altered or contaminated the evidence, until the people of the hotel complained that children might fall into the tomb before it was sealed. So, maybe this isn't really the family of Jesus, but what if it is? No problem... There is no proof that the bones in the ossuary are those of Jesus who died on the cross and rose again. In fact for those of us who believe He arose from the grave, then ascended into heaven, there must be another explanation. This family lived 2000 years ago, so we do not know what events occured within the family unit, however we do know certain customs and traditions. It was customary to name children after other members of the family. We know this because when Zacharias named John, (John the Baptist), all those present were surprised and thought he had erred because there was no one in his family by that name, and he burst out in speech and declared his name would be John and began to praise the Lord. I don't know much about who Mary Magdelene was, did she have family? Did she have any where to go after Jesus died? Since she was so close to the family and friends of Jesus, it should not be any surprise if she did not end up being given a resting place in the family tomb. She was like one of the family, even to the point of being at the foot of the cross with Jesus' mother Mary. Jesus' brother Joseph may well have had a son and named him after his beloved brother Jesus who had the greatest impact on human society of any man since the creation of the world, he likely would have felt it an honor to Jesus to name his first born after him, thus a child named Jesus, son of Joseph. Since the destruction of Jerusalem did not occur until 70 AD, this child could easily have grown to an age of at least 30-35 years of age before dying and being buried. But here is the real kicker to me. If this is the tomb of the family of Jesus then this provides yet one more piece of evidence against those who dispute the Bible. Many have offered up the idea that the oldest ancient texts are dated 400 AD, (although others have dated ancient texts to as old as 40 AD) and therefore it carries no credence, some have even gone so far as to say they don't believe God or Jesus even existed. Having a tomb with the Family Crescent over the door, then finding Simon Barjona's ossuary with the same crescent on the end of it, (as they stated in the show), showing him as one of Jesus' followers, then this all corresponds with the text we have in the Bible. As the documentary stated, this could just be another piece of evidence, and enough pieces add credence to their viewpoint, well... Knowing the members of His family are found, friends of the family, and even one of Jesus possible followers have been found, all adds to the mounting evidence of the reality of the life of Jesus that has impacted society so greatly. The more pieces of evidence of His existance and His minisry should not be a blow to our faith, but should actually strengthen it. So many archaeologists and other fields of science have gone out with the mission to attack and dispute the Bible through scientific evidence, but in every attempt rather than disproving the Bible, so far everything has simply added to the Bible's credibility as a historic document. So for Christians out there, the bottom line is this. Should this tomb be proven NOT to belong to the family of Jesus, then this is just another failed attempt by a non believing world to destroy Christianity, on the other hand if it DOES pan out to be the Jesus' family tomb, it won't rattle my faith at all, it is just more physical evidence of the reality of the man named Jesus and His mission on this earth.
