I was reading an article over the weekend and I was just amazed of what I found out..and thought of sharing it here on mylot...
Yahoo started in 1994 as the project of two Stanford University students, David Filo and Jerry Yang. They started by making a list of their favorite webpages. As their list got bigger, they made a database to keep their information. They let everybody use it for free. Soon, thousands of people were using this services.
Yahoo became a public company in 1996. Filo and Yang, still young men, became rich. As their company grew, they continued their hard work, improving their software, adding more services, and starting yahoo sites in many different countries and languages.
Wow! Isn't it amazing how a school project turned out to be a great business? There are really some people who are born with luck as their twin. LOL

That is very very interesting rogen,I had no idea how yahoo started...well all I can say is that was two very smart young men....It is amazing how just a simple school project can turn into something so big..Yahoo is so famous and known all over the world...that is fasinating to say the least..I do hope people om Mylot reads this...thank you very much for sharing this information....
