Today, when I returned home after being gone a couple of hours, I noticed that my german shepherd and a little pinkish tinge on her. Then I saw my little pekingese puppy and she had something rose pink all over her, including her face. I said, "What have you two gotten into and then I saw some maroon colored powder all over the floor. They had managed to knock down a box that had maroon colorant powder that is used on a certain kind of tiles here in Nicaragua. They looked so funny, I had to laugh. I have heard of people dying their pets pink but that is the first time I have ever seen one dye themselves pink. They had both rolled around in it. Most of it came off the german shephard but the pekingese is going to be pink for awhile, I think. Tell me about the mischief of your pet.

When I had two dachshunds they were always getting into stuff and acting like they didn't so anything. The male dachshund was not as savvy as the female. I came home one time and there was potting soil all over the floor throughout the house, but all the plants were standing upright. I could not understand how this soil got all over the house, until I spied it. The dogs and I am sure it was both of them, had not only turned a plant over they had also dragged the pot and plant down the hall to hide it in a corner. When I saw this I laughed so hard I thought I would die. I have no idea how these two small dogs moved that big planter from the dining room to the hall. I know they had to have worked all day. Both of them came running when I was laughing and they looked so innocent.

Yes, they have those innocent eyes and actions as if to say "I didn't do anything, honest, I didn't." I think if we had thought we would have dusted our little dog off before giving her a bath because the bath turned the powdered color into a liquid color so now she is pretty much a little pink dog. She was such a cute little dog already before she decided to go pink. They know when they do something wrong, like yours trying to hide the evidence. That is so cute.

I once had a labrador and many years ago I used to sell horsefeed, I bought in my samples and kept them in a cupboard as I needed them first thing in the morning. I went to bed, said goodnight to Raps (the dog), when I awoke the next morning, thier was Raps with a funny look on her face and horsefeed everywhere and I knew she had been eating it, as her breath smelt of it. From that day I kept the food out of sight, well out of the house. Raps also used to steal the bread off the kitchen side and she made off with a roast chicken once also.

That is so funny. I wouldn't have thought the dog would like horsefeed. Sasha goes crazy for chicken so if it was where she could get to it, I am sure she would.

Has my pet ever gotten into trouble while I was away? Big time!! They even get into trouble when I just step out of the room for a few moments. Our dog has ripped apart our bed while we were gone and that's about as severe as the damage has gotten. Once while I was home, I put my glasses on the table for two seconds while I stepped out, when I came back he had them chewed and had the arm hanging from his mouth. Looking back it makes me laugh, but what an expensive thing to fix!

Ouch! Chewing up glasses is pretty expensive mischief. It is funny later on, but at the time I am sure it wasn't very funny. Thanks for sharing your story.
