i love the guitar more than the piano, though i started learning the piano first. but the guitar is more versatile an instrument and also inexpensive to start with whereas piano has a major investment in it...........

I took piano lessons - but I'm not very good. My brother, cousin, and mom are all good at piano. I would like to learn guitar. As far as sounding prettier though, I would have to say piano.

I like to play the guitar. But I love to hear piano. I've been playing guitar for a long time. I don't play piano but I love to hear it. Especially Chopin.

I don't play any musical instruments. It is something I wished I had done. All three of my children started in grade 7 playing different instruments. My oldest played trumpet for 1 year and flute for 5. She also played the bagpipes for 3 years. She took guitar for a year. She would like to buy a guitar. My son played trumpet for 2 years. He played quitar for 2. He played drums for 3. Both my older 2 kids where in a band outside of school. My youngest daughter has played the flute for 4 years now and is taking guitar. I did take guitar lesson for about 6 weeks once when I was younger. I wished I continued.

I LOVE MUSIC. When I was young like you I listened only to one kind of music: PUNK. I loved Punk music, I always went to Punk concerts, etc., but now that I am old, I listen to many kinds of music, I still like Punk, but I like classic music too, Mozart is my favourite musician, but I like Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Debussy, Ravel, etc. too. My little son who is 7 is attending a music school, he's studying the solfeggio and the first easy scores for piano, I hope he'll learn playing the piano, but I don't force him, he is free to do what he wants, however, I believe in a sentence by Mozart: "Music will save the world" and so I believe in the power of music. Music is really life. I like guitar and piano, like you. I like music.

My avatar shows it's a picture of my guitar, so you'd already know which of the two will I pick. :) I also know how to play the piano since I was still 8 years old, but like you, guitar means more to me. I love to play guitar so much. It's a lot easier than piano. You can actually learn it by yourself, unlike with piano, you have to have a piano teacher for you master everything. My guitar has also been my best buddy in writing songs. :)

when i was little, i was practically in love with the piano in my aunt and uncle's house. whenever i would go to visit them, i would go in the room where they held it and play on the claps all day long. i was completely bad at this but i just liked it. i've never had the chance to start studying the piano and i guess that's one of my worse regrets in life.. i like the guitar too, it's so romantic and smooth... but still: the piano remains my favourite instrument!

Actually, piano and guitar go hand in hand. If you know how to play the guitar, it won't be hard for you to play the piano anymore. You don't really have to take guitar or piano lessons, you just have to persevere and be patient. I play guitar now more than piano. But I love 'em both!

i'll choose guitar. i'm into guitar these past few years, yet i'm still not a pro. i just don't know the feeling of handling a guitar. i felt it's my passion.
