How do you change your "top" interests?

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how to change your "top" interests? The ones that are shown on the left hand side scroll bar with the images? I've noticed that as I've added more specific things (within general categories of interest) that I like (ie. American Idol, writing, etc) only the first 8 show up on my menu bar on the left side of discussion homepage. Is there any way to choose which ones I would like to show up? I know that I can easily click on my interests to see all of them, but I prefer to have my favorite things already shown, as it makes it more convenient for me. Thank you in advance for any help! :)

The ones on the side change automatically as new discussions come up in those topics. They show you which interests have recent posts or comments in them.

Oh ok... I didn't realize this because they havent changed in a while for me. I guess the first interests that I picked seem to be the most popular. Thank you so much for clearing this up for me...I was searching all over to change them!!

Yes, lillake is correct. The side interest is the most up-to-date interest that have new posts recently. So, I don't think that we can change the order of the interests, unless you try to post in that interest! LOL

I've noticed the same thing, that whatever has been updated most recently is what's on top. It is a little sad that the more obscure interests get buried that way, though, while the more general topics stay on top.
