"I was just going to do that" makes me scream!

I spend a couple of hours cursing and having a battle to rearrange all the cupboards, clean them and out and generally spring clean and at the very second I am closing the last cupboard door Other Half strolls out and says "I was just going to do that!"
A definite case of "now you tell me!"
Does this happen to you?

What, Men have selective hearing? I thought that was just a myth lolololol. Actually Other Half wears headphones just to make absolutely certain he doesn't hear lol.

I would have given him a cupboard to do immediately, or my next chore, lol. It's amazing how angelic men can be when they think they are too late to do the job.
Shrek is always "TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO buzy" to help me but can criticise really well. He does occasionally put his ironing away but you'd think he'd walked on water or something to hear him and how I should have done it etc.
I'm more likely to get it's about time you did that, I was going to tell you about it.

No permenant damage but we are always having mishaps with water. We have special taps which are easy for me to turn on. Unfortunately the birdies have discovered that if they swing on the taps they can turn the water on. They can fling the face cloth over the plug hole too. The only worry I have is when the water has been heated, I don't want them hurt.
However, the last time they flooded the bathroom you would not have known I think the world of them, I shouted the place down lol.
And what did they do? They flew straight in to Other Half and sat on their cage looking like little pictures of innocence.

Once again we are soul sisters lol. Yes, I think most couples have one that does and one that cricitises.
We are always walking on water here. I flooded the kitchen when I defrosted the freezer then Other Half misjudged the amount of water in the bath and I had a pond on the bathroom floor lol.

Clever lady! I have a niece but she is psychic and also has the gift of invisibility if there is the slightest chance that she may be needed lol.

Oh yes this often happens to me it annoys the hell out of me as most of the time we wait and wait and nothing is done but as soon as we clean all the cupboards out then they walk out and tell us this that they were going to do it oh yes sure!! If so then why didn't they do it earlier.

Oh yes, we live side by side in a parallel universe and we both have exactly the same experience! They will never do it earlier as they love seeing the look on our faces when they say those immortal words "I was just going to do that!".

Rarely, lol. My dh will never do anything that he could have me do. Such as cleaning the cupboards, he doesn't care if they had 5 inches of dust and dirt on them he would never clean them. He would just wait for me to do it.

When I am ill my Other Half is very good but when I am well he is a little terror. He moans and moans until I give in and do something just to stop the moaning and then he says he was going to do it anyway, which nearly makes me explode! Yes, he is very loveable in a lot of ways, but this little idiom of his is sooooooooooooooo annoying.

Oh lol, that is good tyler! Does he hide or does he just ignore the fact that cleaning is in progress?

I have to admit to not having this problem with my hubby at all. He's very organised (annoyingly so) and is very pro-active with any household chores that need doing (puts me to shame LOL). Sometimes I do wish he'd be slightly more laidback as he's just too domesticated for his own good! Just shows doesn't it? Men just can't please us women! hehe x

You are one smart cookie, then, letting them do the work then appearing to be a little angel by making tea and wining and dining.
However, I shall put this concept to Other Half, you never know, it might just work!

Oh THAT is even worse! Lazy workmates drive everyone INSANE, and they are usually the ones who get promoted, because they tell everyone they DID do that, so watch out for that one!
