I can't get over the variety of material on AC...just tonight alone, I have read everything from cars to music to medical. Do any of you ever get lost in the articles? I find myself a bit overwhelmed by the wealth of information. Between there and mylot, I may have to give up sleep. LOL

Oh I know! I think the variety there is just fantastic. I don't usually have to worry that if I write about something, it won't be accepted. I can only recall one article that I wrote that wasn't accepted and they said it wasn't a topic people would care to read about or something along those lines.
MyLot has a lot of variety as well, and helps to fix my writer's block so that I can think of more ideas (as does just going to AC and reading).

I went on there today, not really intending to read anything. The feature article was about the homeless, and it was very well written. Then one thing leads to another...and pretty soon, you've spent hours on Associated Content. I try to read articles from those people who comment on mine, but I often get distracted along the way. Some folks on Associated Content are great writers...and some are far less so. I really enjoy the site, most of all being published.

It's easy to spend a lot of time on both sites, huh? I will get on AC with the sole intent to type up an article that I've written. I will end up reading ten other articles before I ever even get started on mine. I think that's the reason that I don't get more done!
I always hand write my articles before I type them up because I almost always spend at least part of the time that I'm writing one, somewhere away from my computer. I'll write one while my son is eating or while I'm watching him play. We have a laptop, but then my son would be pushing buttons so I handwrite everything. I just wish I didn't get so distracted when I went to turn it in!
