In Concert

Has anyone seen Celtic Woman in concert? I fell in love with this group when I saw a PBS special and bought the DVD, Live at Slane Castle, Ireland. They are coming to Spokane in May and I am trying to decide if the fairly expensive tickets would be a worthwhile expense. I would appreciate your thoughts!

I love Celtic Woman. They are such beautiful singers. My best friend had their cd's and had me listen to them. They are so amazing. Next month I believe they're going to be putting on a concert somewhere nearby and we're hoping that we get to see them. It's unlikely, but I really really really want to. My favorite song of thiers is "Someday".

Nice to find another fan! The song that won't leave my head is "The Voice" (that may not be the actual title). I have it on my computer and play it over and over again. I hope you get to see them in concert - I am still hoping to go but the tickets aren't on sale yet and I have no idea how much they are going to cost. I have been checking ticket prices in other areas and it is pretty expensive but I think it would be worth it. :-) Thanks for the response!

As much as I like them, I'd never pay that much for a concert. I think the high price will keep all but the rich and the most ardent of fans away, which is a shame.

We ended up not being able to go to the concert because the tickets were way too expensive to take the family, and my daughters wanted to see them as much as we did. Maybe next time they come. Until then I will have to content myself with the DVD of the concert at Slane Castle.

I haven't ever heard of them so it is kind of hard for me to say whether you should dish out that kind of money or not. I have never seen a big band perform twice though, I never thought it would be worth it to see the same performance again. You never know, they may even do the same songs.

I also saw them on PBS and fell in love with them. My husband surprised me with some tickets when they came to Baton Rouge. It was a GREAT concert and I would love to go again if they ever make it back this way again.

I went to a live concert with them performing in late June, in MA. I really enjoyed it, but it does not compare to the original Slane Castle DVD concert. First of all, the stage was not nearly as elaborate. Even though I payed the top price for tickets, I still sat far away enough that I could not even see their faces, just the silhouettes. I would have given anything to see them at the actual Slane Concert. I am a huge fan of this group though, and hope to someday soon get great seats to a live concert!
