Where does your Whippet sleep?

Where does your Whippet sleep? If my dog isn't laying curled up on the couch, then she's either dug the cover up and curled up under it, or she crawls down under the covers, and sleeps at my side or by my feet. She'll stay there all night curled up under the covers.

Our whippet puppy sleeps in our bed and he just loves our pillows. He tries his hardest to sleep snuggled up next to me with his head on my pillow. That just doesn't work like it used to though because he has grown so much. So every time he tries we just push him to the foot of the bed. We're trying to teach him that if he wants to sleep in our bed then he need s to stay away from our pillows. I'm not doing a very good job teaching him that though. Anyway the rest of the day he sleeps on the couch, on his bed, or in his crate. As long as he's warm. When the heat comes on though he moves to sleep by the register.

Hi JLM. Just be persistant in putting him down at the bottom of the bed and he will eventually learn that is his place to sleep if he wants to be there with you. I tried putting an old blanket at the bottom of the bed, and sometimes our whippet will stay down there covered up in that, but for some reason she does like to crawl right down under all of the covers especially during the winter.

Our whippet sleeps, much to her chagrin, in her house (crate) overnight. She would prefer our bed (my pillows, to be precise), and she has done as much several nights, but we're trying to reclaim our bed. LOL!
During the day, though, if she's not on our bed, she's on Grandma's bed, or she's on the couch. About 90% of the time, the floor is met with scorn, even when she's had her own soft, fluffy bed.

Guess she wouldn't sleep in her own fluffy bed or pillow if it was beside the bed? Whippets not only like their comfort, but they like to be near you, thus the reason she probably likes the pillows. lol
My husband doesn't like the dog anywhere near him, which is why she usually creeps down under the covers and stays on my side of the bed. Of course it's not so bad with the king size bed either.
I hate locking the dogs up and they soon learn if they want to stay out they have to behave and sleep where they are supposed to. lol
