We need to 'break-in' or 'run-in' all vehicles when they are new. This allows the gentle wearing in of all the various components of the vehicle, not just the engine but gearbox, bearings etc. This provides for the longevity of the vehicle, it will last far longer than one that isn't broken in correctly, will be more reliable, in time will give you better performance and will cost you less in repairs and replacements.
