Do you have a theme to naming your children? if so, what is it? I have friends that follow themes. One family with 13 children has their every name start with "R" one family with 6 children has all their middle names start with "P" one family with 10 children has all their names start with "K" another family with 10 children has their first names with 7 letters and the second name with 4 letters, then they reverse that for the next child. A co-worker's family has the tradition of naming the first daughter with the grandmother's middle name....another family likes water based names - so there is Jonah and Noah and Ariel Do you follow a theme?

I didn't have a theme, we just picked names that were easily pronounced in english & spanish..my hubby's family doesn't speak english. It did however turn out that both names mean "gift from God" when I looked them up in a baby name book.

I didn't follow a theme, just tried to find two names that sounded nice together. I didn't have too much input from their father, except the last one I wanted Melanie and he won with Susan. So she is now Susan Melanie. But everybody calls her by her first name, drats!

aw, they are both very good names. A friend of mine named her daughter for Saint Melanie, I do not know what middle name she chose, but Susan would be a lovely middle name as well as a first name.

My wife and I used the following theme to name our five children. Every first name starts with "Da" and is two syllables as in Daniel, David, Darius and a second name which is single syllable only. Our only daughter is named Dana Mae.

that is very creative. I love the idea of themes, it makes it a challenge, and exciting in choosing out the name for the next child, I think it also encourages having bigger families :)

I have a 4 year old named Allyson. When my husband and I were discussing names for our possible future children I realized that we were going in Alphabetical Order with each name ending with the letter N. Example Allyson Braden Celdyn Donovan Eden Ferryn Etc.... We weren't trying to do this but I realized what we were doing.

oh, THAT is a fun one. Interesting how it worked out without your even trying to make it that way. I hope you are blessed with many children so that you can fulfill this destiny :) Great names btw.

My theme was asking their father for imput, he dithered for several months, and finally produced a list of really strange names that I didn't like. I then gave him a short list of names I liked and had him pick from them. Their first names are standard boy names, but their middle names have anature theme to them.
