I would love to grow my vegeatable organically, but I have heard it takes 7 yrs until it is truly organic. I think I will go ahead anyway, at least it will be a start. Can you let me know what you think of organically grown veges and if it true that it takes 7yrs.

By far, the best website I know of for gardening hints, or living a 'green' lifestyle, all the way around is http://www.motherearthnews.com
You should check it out.

Hi all,
There is something you are forgetting about. That stuff called miracle grow that so many people dump all over their plants leaves a residual salt in the soil.
It takes time to remove these residual elements from the soil. It can take up to 7 years or more to have a 100% organic product.
Think about it. 100% organic means no cars can travel within a certain distance to the plants because of the residual chemicals in the exhaust. YOU HAVE TO REALLY CHANGE YOUR WAYS TO GET A 100% ORGANIC HARVEST.
After you get the organic soil, then you buy organic seeds.
Now my question is if you want organic food NOW, why not get organic soil & grow your stuff in pots until you get your soil as organic as you need it to be? If you grow this way, you can empty your used organic soil where you want to have your organic garden. That way you will get an organic product faster.

I have organic strawberries. If you plant organic seeds on organic soil, without the use of pesticides, isn't that plant organic? At this point you don't need 7 years.
