i also have one when i was younger. my dad would buy one at the start of the year and he would challenge us (me and my siblings) to save and put loose change in it. we would really save up because during christmas, he'd double the amount that we are able to save.

I used to have two.
Now I still have one of them, because the second got broken sometime ago but I still keep them and my 10 month old son has gotten one with his bank account and a friend bought him one which makes sounds.
So yes, I have.
Kudos,
~Joey

not a piggy bank actually but it was a children's saving fund in the school where we could save 5 -10 bucks or any that was usually given me as pocket money. but now i have two lovely ones of them one for my daughter and one for me.

Actually I still have the one I had then. It must be an antique by now. [I'm sixty-five] and is too fragile to still use it. But I remember putting change in it and then when I needed the money I had to shake the money out. It is ceramic and only has a coin slot, not a plug in the bottom to take the money from.
Because it was hard to get the money out, I saved more. I think it is a good habit to teach children how to handle their own money.
Now I have a container to put pocket change in, but it isn't a bank of any kind. When I get enough coins I roll them in paper wrappers. The penny rolls I give to my church. The nickle rolls I give to Habitat for Humanity. And the dime and quarter rolls I put into my vacation savings fund.
It is a long-standing habit to save my change, one that has served me well.

I had a couple but mine were shaped like rabbits. They were a set, one was yellow and one was green. I probably got them as an Easter present when I was very small. I had forgotten all about those things until you mentioned it.
One of my sons has an honest to god pig shaped piggy bank. I was doing some routine banking and one of the bank managers came over and gave it to him as a little gift. he loves that thing!
