I'd rather have my wife pursue a career and me stay home and be the house husband.

Be a house husband? Wouldn't you want to also earn for the family so that you can support your wife? I think it would be better if your both worked and earn and you can settle down with the kids the soonest right?

Who said anything about kids? No just kidding, I've had this discussion with my wife before. But why would it be ok for the wife to stay home, not work and rasie the kids. But yet if the husband were to do it, it would be frowned upon?

If she had a career before she married I would expect her to continue with it. if she didn't it would be up to her if she wanted to go out to work or not.

that is so nice of you. very well said tj i hope every man in the world would advocate what you have said. but for me i will be contented to be a housewife to take care more of teh children if my husband can afford the commodities of the house.. so that i can properly take care of the kids.

Well I'm a guy, so I prefer my wife to be at our home and looking after for our children. I am the husband, so I should be the one responsible for working for my family and provide for our everyday needs. As for wives, she should be at home and help their husband as she guides their children, and tend for their husbands needs.
And if ever she would want to earn extra income to support their family's needs, there are always some work-at-home jobs available for here, just like Mylot!;) Also as long as she takes good care of the kids, I don't think there would be a problem for me..

well that's good for you rajin. i see we have the same view regarding this. i think it's better if the wife stays at home but it will be a lot better for the family if they work together and earn.

As i am a man and i know it very well that in this economical world it is very difficult to make both ends meet on a single person's income so i will definetely like to pursue her career
i m saying this because i m not married yet but mind can change when i become married
