myLot - Some members have been giving a bad name to the site...

I have started doing online marketing of myLot, and have become more active since last week. While doing online publicity, I have come across a few fellow myLot members, and I was sorry to discover that they have been, (intentionally or unintentionally), giving a bad name to the site.
Here are what they promise in their add(s):
* Earn 250-300$ per month!
* All you have to do is scraping!
* Just spend 1 hour daily and earn 500$ from myLot!
To my surprise, some of the senior members too have been marketing site that bad!
I would like to request all of you, that if you are interested in making good referrals, you need not to start of with a lie. Anyone who joins with eaning 400-500$ from the site by working about an hour will never give it a second visit when he will now that he has ended his day with 4-6 cents!
Again, this is just to inform you that it would be better, if we can have promote the site honestly. Mylot itself promotes the site by mentioning that some of its members have made 75$ and more. So, do you see the honesty? The site is clear about what its all about, and what is to expected from it. And as we can all see, that the site it growing rapidly.
So, just be practical, and honest with the promotion.
And for those who have not started making referrals, and/or do not have clear idea about how to start for the same, I would be glad to share my experince in this discussion. I would also request all senior members to share their's as well.
Thank you.

i am a 7 month old member of mylot. i rarely send invites to people since i don't wanna make them feel like i am forcing something on them. but at times when i send my mylot link, i tell the truth to people.
the biggest earning for a month i got here was last december when i got 81.88. i always tell people that it's not easy to make money in here. rather, i tell them that if they have extra time, it would be nice if they log on to such a wonderful site of discussions here in mylot. i just tell them how nice to site is about winning new friends are learning something new from other members. that's just it.
i rarely get referrals because of what i do tell them. but atleast, deep inside me, i had been honest and never been greedy about earning from my downlines. still, honesty is the best policy.

Good post and a true mylotter to heart. I fully support your discussion views. It is rather pathetic that our members would "deceive" potential members with sweet words. Although there is always a possibility, you need to be honest about it.
With plenty of referrals, and they being active, one can easily earn even a 1000 dollars monthly. But the way to sign up referrals without providing them a realistic picture is rather deceiving.
Just my two sense of thoughts.

Wow, I never crossed anyone who promote MyLot with that such of promises. I myself don't have much referrals but I'm making sure I tell the truth from my experience. I told them there is no easy money, that we have to earn something to gain something (eventhough probably not much; but there is something). I also told them how much I get from the one I'm promoting (for instance). As for me, our reputation is in jeopardy when we promote something and it's not like what we promote. So, I will try to avoid empty promises.
I try hard to make sure that people know when I say this is good, this is not bad; they know exactly that they could just trust me because I'm honest and right.

in fact, i haven't seen anyone who was presenting the true pic of the site - i felt if i m the only fool who is giving actual figure! but then, as i can c, that my referrals, especially the last 50 i have made, are much better in quality then prior to that. they are more interest, and are more active then the first 100 or so. i owuld like to belibve that its my 'hontest tactice'(!) that is working for me :D
good to know that u promote the site honeslty. thats the way it should be.
cheers!

my friends who I refered usually are not active mainly because they are a bit hesitante in communicating in other language. Since we are all Indonesian, we use to speak/write bahasa Indonesia. And most of them are quite busy. lol
Some of them become my referral just because they know I'm referring to it, and immediately say ok, but don't do anything here. And I can not (have no intention to) force them to be active, of course. It's a free world, free will.

Now this a good thing to be revealed. It's not about just making money what the people are trying to do.
I didn't knew people would sell themselves just for money. They are losing it just for MONEY???

hi,friend, its hard truth.I too some times promote my blogs, but not for cheating, its purely subject oriented[bio diesel] and some earning site also.Even though i know little about internet earnings, what i observed from the discussions of different countries "there is no other site better than my lot".If it is there no body will be here in my lot.May be there are 'links' to promote and earn some thing, but those"sites" and 'links' usually not sharing to 'OTHER MEMBERS'...

I am horrified that people will lie to get referrals. Especially, senior members of myLot. I have no referrals. I don't want to ask my family. I have asked my friends but none of them are interested. I wish I could pick up some cause I think it would really boost my earnings.

Hey hi,well thats something really amzing friend, tanks for giving this information here, and really felt bad heraing mylot own memebers are doing this,as here you can make money just by answering discussions on mylot, and starting new discussions too, infact you can boost your earning by uploading photos, so keep posting quality responses, keep searching good discussions about which you know something and can answer, strictly avoid one liner posts, best luck and happy earning!!!...cheers!!

There are always a few bad apples in every bunch. I rarely earn $1 in a day spending a lot more than an hour per day, so I find it highly unlikely that most of these people are earning the amounts they claim. Anyone who claims to earn such amounts should be turned in to MyLot and let them investigate the matter.

That is really ridiculous and way too much. Those who have been online for long would think that myLot is a scam. It goes to show that some people really don't know how to use their brain. I hope those people realize that they are killing the reputation of myLot.

Thanks for letting us know about this. A lot of this type of stuff goes around all over the internet. I have been a member for only a couple of days and only made 77 cents.

You are the first person I see on mylot who is asking to say truth well I think you are right i have also seen people who doesnt like my lot they compare it with Orkut or with Yahoo Answers they say mylot is not much designed colourless and e.t.c. I really fell bad for them thats why I only have two refferals and both of them are in active.

i guess mylot staff cant do anything about that, but they have to me more persistent, some members are doing those kind of things just to earn referrals from other people, but its up to them if they cant read the rules of mylot, they would tell that mylot is a scam.

I can't agree more with you. I have seen these adds too, but yet i spend up to 4 to 5 hours a day here on mylot, and i struggle to make $10 by the end of the month. I do everything right, i just can't make above 20 dollars a month.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. That is pretty bad. I hate people that lie and misrepresent the earnings potential to get referrals.
I would rather know that the money is somewhat consistent. That payout isn't huge. And MOST importantly that I WILL get paid! Than go and join a site thinking I am going to make a bunch of money to find it to be a lie.

Very well said indeed!
I was actually unaware that some members of Mylot have been shamelessly lying in their quest for referrals, and quite honestly, their lies are pretty bad ones.
It makes sense as to why a lot of these members of Mylot aren't actually active now. Why would they be active knowing that they were promised dollars and instead are earning cents?
I personally have 1 referral thats occasionally active, but it doesn't bother me. I'm not here to earn. I'm here to make new friends, have interesting discussions and learn learn learn. I have a thirst for knowledge, and Mylot provides me with an outlet for that.

The idea about earning here on mylot is not a ghost, its for real. But about the 300-400 $ is I guess a wild exaggeration of what the real earning is at the present. Of course people would feel bad if mylot will fail their expectations. There are information about the earnings that people have earned here on mylot and it helps to ask them for they will also explain and tell you all the things you need to know about mylot.
