How do you keep up with the latest anime or manga news?

Do you have a subscription to magainzes such as Newtype, do you subscribe to manga distributors like Shonen Jump, or do you just get the inside scoop on your favorite anime(s) by visiting websites dedicated to them? I personally used to have subscriptions to Shonen Jump and Newtype until they both ran out. Now I mostly just catch up on anime manga related news online, although I am planning on renewing my Newtype subscription again. That really is one awesome magazine, and the freebies rock!

currently im reading the manga hajime no ippo, and the best way to know if the next chapter is out is to check fansites. they are pretty accurate and would post for any recent news of your manga

Yes fansites are very quick to report on information, indeed when it comes to speed they're tops. But I've found that a lot of times they have a nasty habit of posting an unfounded rumor on their site and labeling it as fact without validating it first.

Same here, I get feeds from anime sites. =) They really are quite sharp when it comes to anime news. Anime News Network is a good anime site that has syndicated feeds.

I subscribe to syndicated feeds from anime news sites. They stream into my LiveJournal, and I'm thoroughly updated with the latest.^^
