I am a good and main cook in the family, but my husband will cook one dish only - mix vegetable salad as he thinks the way he prepared will be healthier.
So at least 3 times of week he will wash the dishes after the meal - being fairly as we both work. :-))

I think that between me and my other half, it is not a competition and that we are best as cooks when working together.. I tend to look for recipes if I can't think of something to make for us to eat. A lot pf the food items or meals that my other half would make are now just tiresome. I believe we over ate a lot of the items he used to love purchasing... I honestly also believe that we do actually work good as a team in the kitchen. I believe that we work best as a team when we go ahead and cook anything side by side.
I've tried to become more versatile in the kitchen and keep the meals interesting. I believe I have done a half decent job of introducing a lot of different meals to our cookbook. We now have dishes from all over the world we can try to make and we know they will be tasty and filling because we have approved them to go into our cook book that I have created for us.
I like cooking and more than anything I like trying, yet preparing new recipes that we have that involve some new ingredients. I think that because of the new dishes we have our interest in making meals has increased. I remember a long time ago how we used to always order out food all of the time because we ate to much of the same over each week. It became to the point where ordering out was the only way we could keep things interesting. Then that became rather boring as well. So I came up with the idea to look up several different recipes for us to try weekly. I feel it has helped us to have more of an interest for food all over again.
I really like to challenge myself with new recipes all the time. I think the best way to keep any meal interesting is to keep the ingredients exciting as well. There are something's I ust can't cook no matter what but for the most part I would like to believe I can cook most everything and anything. I like the challenge of cooking different things here and there for dinners and I believe I can do that now.
I find me & my other half are equal when it comes to cooking for the most because I feel we both contribute to new & interesting meals to have each week. So that our food never gets boring, but is always kept interesting. I find I am more versatile though more than him when it comes to my cooking though. As I like to try new spices or add new ingredients to the food I prepare for us for dinner each night. I find my other half when he adds new spices or ingredients that they don't always agree with my stomach. So I find I am always better at making suggestions though when it comes to trying new foods.
I find I will run an idea by him, & then he will suggest we add a certain ingredient. I find we both contribute to the food we want to make as we both tend to put our heads together to come up with something that we both will end up liking. I find that is why we both are equal when it comes to cooking. As we both try to put our heads together to make a meal for dinner each night that we both will end up enjoying.l
In conclusion, I believe that there is no competition between me and my other half and that we work best as a team when we cook. I think that we both bring something unique and different to the table each night when dinner is served.. And when we do this I find that our meals turn out so much better. I love that we can work together like we do and serve up great meals almost every time with ease! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I am the cook of the house and although I wouldnt say that I am a good cook, I am certainly better than my partner who one night decided to cook me steak eggs and chips after a long day at work and I dont know how he did it but he mucked it up and it was one of the worst things I have ever eaten!!! But at least he tried, usually if I tell him it is his turn to cook he will go to the local chinese shop and get take away!
