I usually use Professional Couriers and have been quite satisfied with them. Very rarely have I had problems with them. What do you normally use when you wanna courier stuff within India? Is the normal Registered Post or Speed Post (from the post office) equally good? I have used the option quite a few times and have had usually good results of overnight delivery, but not always.

I have used Professional Couriers too and like you, I'm satisfied with their service so far. I use Speed post for letters that needs speed :) (have heard horror cases of consignments not reaching at all, so i use it sparingly.I think the speed depends on the remoteness of your destination too) Rest of the time, Registered post works just fine. Had a very bad experience with a private courier once. It all ended pretty badly. Have been wary of using untested couriers ever since. Thankfully,i don't have to use snail mail much . Now i use mostly Registered post. If the post office nearest to me is closed for some reason, I use private couriers.(DTDC is quite reliable, i believe)

Well in India either Professional Couriers or DTDC work pretty well. I am not aware of the relaibility of our government postal service, I ve not used it frequently other than to post invitations of functions in bulk, where i don care if they take 3days or 4 days, and secondly for moneyorders back to our village people or to temples. The money order service is a very good one I should say.
