I always think that the mark of a truly professional photographer is the fact that they can spell photographer. I don't actually know any.

I think Henri Cartier-Bresson was the best, closely followed by Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Mario Giacomelli.

Ansel Adams comes to mind when it comes to landscape photography, and Helmut Newton on celebrity portraits.
