What does it take to be cool?

So not that it matters all that much by why do some people think they are cool? I guess it just gets old watching others make a fool of themselves trying to prove a point. I admit there are times when I want to impress someone or something and so I try to act all cool. I guess the biggest problem with all of this is most often you are not being yourself so if you do impress someone with acting all "cool" what happens when they find out thats not really you? Will they still think your the best thing since sliced bread?
