Was just curious as to who tans. Do you go to the tanning salon? Do you prefer to use the beds or standing up, or do you use the spray on tan?
I haven't started yet this year, but will be in the next couple days. I am just curious as to how many people actually use the salons.

I went to a tanning bed place one time. I knew nothing about them, and was left in the bed for 30 minutes! I have very light skin, and ended up cooked! I was sick for three days.
Even if you don't get so overdone, you are still damaging your skin a little at a time. The results won't show up for years, but when they do, you will regret using the beds.

I love to tan. I used to lay out in the sun and go to a tanning salon alot when I was younger. When I got older, I didn't lay out much but I went to the tanning salon instead. After many years of paying to go to the salon, we decided to buy a home and put in a 220 circuit breaker in our home. I then bought my own tanning bed and the payments were alot cheaper than going to a salon and paying. Now I can tan whenever I want to and don't have to go somehwere or go outside to do it. I have tried the self tanning lotion but it didn't work on my skin.

i just love my natural complexion . . . i'm not comfortable also of hearing somenews for the bad effects with tanning or bleaching . in U.S. salons for tanning are seen everywhere while in the Philippines bleaching centers are commonly noticed .

I'm avidly against tanning. As a person who has seen its direct effects on how it can ruin your health and your life, I'm nowhere near encouraging about it. Spray-on tans are fine, but baking yourself in a bed or in the sun is downright stupid and not worth it in my eyes.

I use to when I was younger.I would like to but I have 2 young kids that keep me busy right now and for almost the past 3 years I just never found the time to.Plus it can get rather expensive.I like it when they adevertise deals.I usually used the tanning bed you laid down in.I only used the stand up one once and didnt like it.The self spray on tanner I might use for occasions if I needed a quick tan.My sister used a self tanner one time and it turned her hands and feet orange and when I used it it made my legs splotchy. If I knew how to apply it good without getting orange hands or feet then I could use it.LOL
