What is the best way to go about doing this? I have a slab of wood in my room than I occasionally drum on with the front and back of my hands to condition them, and in my Healing Fist class we condition our wrists for with blocking drills. What is your favorite or best way to condition the hands and feet?

for my hands and fists, i do push-ups
for my legs, just simple jogging and pumpings with weights

I think wood is best to start, but as soon as you get a little bit harder I would change to metal immediately. I personally like a hollow square piece of tubing. This isn't extremely hard but it let's you punch the devil out of it.
Knuckle push-up are also a very fun method and it trains other things as weel

for legs, use the iron broom kung. find a sturdy tree, and sweep it using the front of your lower leg until fatigue. continue everyday until you can knock a tree down with one sweep. a general tip that i think works for me is building up calus' on my hands, and scar tissue on my feet. walking around most of the time barefoot helps with that.
