Any older college students on My Lot? Problems related to age?

I was wondering if there are other older college students here, and if so, do you find you have any particular problems that you feel are related to being older? I am an older student, and I think my greatest problem is a result of not having studied math when I was younger. It's as if I have to get through high school math before I can move on. That isn't directly age related, but it is the only problem I'm having.

I got my associates degree in 2003 when I was 33 and I'm currently working on my bachelors at 36. The only problem I've experienced is finding time to study when I also have a full-time job, a husband and 1-year-old child at home.

Poor thing! I feel sorry for you! Working and taking care of a family while trying to study is harder, I believe, than going back to school when the kids are grown! I, too got an Associate Degree when my kids were still at home. So I guess, in some ways, I actually have it easier now that I'm working on my Bachelors Degree, because I don't have to cook for the family, and all the other everyday things you do while your kids are young. It can be challenging, but it will be worth it once I've completed my elective classes and gotten that piece of paper!! :-)

well , maybe im not as old as you are :but really , i dont think there is a problem with studying at any age. i am 32 years of age and i am just ending the third year of a six year program:mathematics. i think the saying that it is better to be late than never is what one should be concerned with. please , just put in every effort you can gather and make a name for yourself as an old man who made the highest grade ever in the school:i will like a toast to that when you graduate
