Are you familiar with: The Goddess Cybele, the Mellissae, Galla, Gallae and the The Phrygianum?
This very ancient religion has captivated my interest, with over 8.000years of history it has much to recommend it. Do you know anyone who is a follower or can enlighten me?

I've heard of Cybele and Galla but didn't know much about it until I followed the link you posted. Not spent a lot of time reading it but will take a look in more detail later as it looks interesting. I'm not really a follower of anything but if I were I must admit the idea of "reconstructionist paganism" holds some appeal!

As a clue to the fragmentation....
We have the ...shall I say colourful Cybelians:

And we have the scholarly Cybelians:

The rather adventurous "Colourful" Cebelians seem to have been hounded from their internet nest, by spamming perverts and have retreated to a temple in the Netherlands!
The U.S. is ripe for a revival as is U.K. I'm sure the matriarchal ethos is long overdue. It does lay claim to being the oldest of the Pagan religions, and I love that it is all inclusive..."No chosen ones" , power hierarchy, or bigotry.
Blessed be.

Hi,
It is I, Rev Penny, founder of the Cybelians, or as you term us "colourful Cybelians."
You have been misinformed on two counts. (1) The "scholarly Cybelians" have disbanded, as apparently the founder has fallen out with some of the other transsexxual adherents. (2) We ourselves have not "been hounded by spamming perverts to a temple in the Netherlands." Our administrative centers are still in the U.S. and U.K, and we currently have followers in 73 countries (including all 50 of the U.S. States).
We are neither matriarchal, nor matrilineal; we are gynocratic. Within all our lifetimes, women will be in control. With the aid of the water of life (not always colorful, often clear) we will achieve our goals.
We have just published "The Cybele Code" which provides examples of gynocracies in history and pre-history, and which describes our techniques for achieving a lasting gynocracy in this, the 21st century.
Peace, and success.
Rev Penny
