Does anyone know anything about the sequel?

The trailer for this looks great...I can't wait..here is the synopisis of the movie (got this from http://www.bloody-disgusting.com a great site for horror movie news) A team of National Guard cadets stops over at a desert outpost to deliver equipment to some military scientists. They arrive at the research camp to find it mysteriously deserted. Hearing a distress call on their walkies, they set off on what they think is a simple rescue mission into the hills - only to find a tribe of mutants, damaged by nuclear testing, who lie in wait for them...

I know what you mean, alot of sequels don't hold to the original. This one looks like its going to be good. Just keep your fingers crossed.

I agree that it was an awesome film, I have not seen anything quite like it. I saw a preview for the sequel today and was a little disapointed in it. Of course it was super fast clips so you can't really see what is going on but when they did slow it down, the character looked so mutated it seemed "overdone". It is hard to find sequels that live up to the originals; in my opinion they make the sequels just to rack up more money. I'll hold final judgement for after I view the film...
