The school next to my house have kids outside of the school grounds picking up trash as a punishment. The other day one of the kids accidently ran in front of a car and the teacher yelled at the kid. what is wrong with the schools these days?

You would probably yell at your kid, too, if he or she ran in front of a car. And how could a kid "accidently" run in front of a car? You didn't say how old the kids were. Of course most teachers would probably have warned the kids to stay out of the street, but you never know. I would ask a few questions if I were you.

I think you mean this post as a joke, but maybe not. There is nothing wrong with yelling at a kid for almost getting hit by a car. They know better than to fool around in the street. There is nothing wrong with a little labor to use as punishment. It's called community service when adults have to do it, the kids are lucky they don't have to wear an orange jump suit while they are working.
