I've been with my boyfriend for over three years now and we have been living together for the past 7 months. More and more I find myself treasuring my alone time and I would like to try being single for awhile. I want to experience things on my own and I'm not really sure how to end it. Our condo is in my name, so obviously I'd be the one to stay there but how do I just say goodbye to this life we've created together??

There is no easy way to do this and honesty is the best policy. So tell your boyfriend the truth, that you are not sure you are ready to live together and that you want to be on your own. If you have no intentions of dating him (as in totally ending it), make sure you make it clear to him. Do not blame him for the demise of the relationship. Just admit that you are not ready to be tied down or to live with someone. That this has nothing to do with him and everything to do with how you feel. It is better to split now than to end up regretting it later. Good luck!
