is my computer over protected?

it has come to that time where all this protective programs have to be renew in my computer and they are all getting very to much expensive,i have mcaffe virus scane,mcaffe security coder, spy sweeper,spam killer,and some other crap,that i'm begining to think is just to much,but i really don't know,it all is costing me a lot of money,is there just like car insurance,something like liability for my computer or do i really need all this crap?i really need an answer soon,or should i leave my com. to die?
