More than 1 book at a time?

Do you ever read more than 1 book at a time? Can you keep them separated in your mind or do you get confused? I'm usually reading 3 or 4 books at a time and so far I don't have trouble remember which book is which. There are just so many good ones out there but not enough time to read them one at a time.

Sometimes when I am in the middle of one book and buy another that I am really interested in I will start that one and let the other one wait til I finish.

I usually read 2 or 3 at a time, plus whatever I am reading for school. It'll happen when I forget the book I am currently reading at home, but have the next one in the car. If my options are to not read while waiting around for an appt or start another book, I'm starting a new book :)

I do, but only rarely. Its usually one of my regular books and then a history book of some kind. I like reading about history of things, but I tend to need the regular old take me away book instead of really trying to think. lol

I usually have a couple of books on the go at the same time because I'll start one and put it down and then forget where I put it. Rather than searching I'll just grab another book and start it.

I tried doing that once and it was a dismal failure.I had to much trouble trying to keep the stories straight.A very confusing situation

I always read multiple books at a time but I almoast always read nonfiction so there are no stories to keep straight. I think I would be able to seperate them if they were fiction though. I can follow more than on television series and keep them straight so I would assume that would be the same type of thing. Typically none of the books I read at the same time are regarding the same topic. Right now I'm reading one about food, one about liberty and one about touch. Definitely no confusion there, lol.

Yes I usually read three books at a time, but they cannot be related books, for example I could not read book one of a trilogy and start book two of the same trilogy before ending book one. I am usually reading one fiction book and two technical books at one given time. Have a nice day.

I always read several books at a time... I've always been that way for as long as i remember, and it's never been difficult for me to keep the stories straight. My trouble is not having enough books to read! I've always been a rather fast reader and it seems like I'll buy a book only to be done with it a few days later, then I'm back at square one with nothing to read! I LOVE Half-Price Books for this reason... I can get a stack of books for the same price as one good hardcover at a regular bookstore. There's also a great used bookstore called 'The Dusty Bookshelf' that I've been checking out... ahhh.. books. Can you recommend some good ones you've read? Being super pregs and unemployed, I could use a few great reads... Have you ever read 'The Temple of my Familiar' by Alice Walker... for some reason I've been wanting to read that one again lately... it's terrific!

Right now I have 4 books (2 on my desk alone) that I'm working on! but that's pretty high for me, if I finish one, I probably won't start another until I'm done with at least 1 other (having said that, I may read the other sequel before finishing the rest of the books.)

I very rarely read just one book at a time, and I don't have any trouble keeping them separate in my mind either. I'm only reading two right now - one I've been dying to read for a while, and a vacation planning guide. I just finished my book club book last night, so it was three at a time yesterday. The only hard part about it is deciding which one to pick up at any given time. :)
