What was your longest relationship?

My longest relationship was for twelve years. We lived together for nine. It was an interesting learning experience for me, but it is something that I don't ever want to do again. I wish that he had been the man that I was to marry, but he was abusive and I had to get away from that. Plus, I had started dating him when I was fifteen and he was twenty-five. I out grew him quickly. The things that had impressed me when I was a child had become burdensome and annoying. We are still friends and keep in touch by phone. He has been gravely il lately and I want to be there for him. I believe that everything happens for a reason, so I don't feel like that time in my life was wasted. The only way that I want to live with a man again is if we are married.

I met my husband 23 years ago and we have been married for almost 19 years!

The longest relationship that I have been in is ten and a half years and counting. My hubby and I met right after high school.
