Getting paid online?

Anyone try getting paid doing online surveys? How did it go? i'm not looking for any get rich quick schemes...just a little extra folding money if you know what I mean. I've come across this website https://paydotcom.com/r/11804/glacier/69212 But I'm a little cautious about trying it out...it seems they want money from me to then provide me with information about how to find the surveys that pay. Is this typical...anybody with first hand experience?
