I think the best thing my father has given me is letting me understand my mistakes when I was young. Everytime he punishes me he explains why I should be punished. I learned from those mistakes and I understand well now why sometimes I had to get hurt.

wow! lucky for you that you got a father who was with you when you were young and disciplined you and not to mention patient as well because he takes his time to explain things to you and not just spank or punished you and after that left you without any clue what was the punishment for.
I never had experienced to have a father when i was a growing kid, in fact i only saw my father when i was 22 yrs old.
