how old where you when you got your first pet?

I got my first pet the day I turned one year old. My older brother had been bringing home a puppy (from the neighbor's house) for me to play with for a little while each day and then taking the puppy back home. I cried and cried each time he did it, but I loved playing with that puppy. My mother was totally against getting a dog, but when my first birthday rolled around my dad and brother got me one of those puppies anyway. She was furious but couldn't resist that puppy's charms and grew to love him. I will always remember her standing at the kitchen sink crying her eyes out when we had to have him put to sleep 13 years later.

i was about 4 years old when we got our first pet. It was a stray little kitten that my step aunt found while she was on a walk, she rought it to our house thinking it was ours but it wasn't, but my mom and step dad let us keep her. I even got to name her, muffin. she was such a great cat, she lived till i was 21 years old. so 17 years old for cat that lived most of her life outside is wonderful.

my first pet? That would be 22 when I moved out of my parent's home. She was a beautiful half siamese (black) girl. I've never been catless since.

i got my first pet when i was 4 years old. it was a kitten that i found on the side of the street and she was so little and helpless, so i decided to take her home with me and take care of her.

I can always remember having a dog in my house so I guess I've had pets all my life.
