the first pet that I have ever owned was when I was about 10 my parents bought me a hamster. I didn't like it very much. It was soft and nice, but it smelled and always made noises at night that kept me up. How about you? what was your first pet? did you enjoy it? or find it was not the right pet for you?

My first pet was a black labrador dog. He was great company and he followed me everywhere. Unfortunately one of my neighbours dogs got distemper and it got into our garden and infected my dog, so my poor dog had to be put to sleep. I have had other dogs since, but I still miss my labrador.

My first pet was a tiny gold fish that I won at a carnival when I was around 8. Then after that I got a turtle. Then a canary. My mom was scared of dogs and cats, so I didn't get one of those until I was 18, married.

the very first pet that i had was a kitten. i just found her on the side of the street. i felt sad when i saw her alone and the kitten was scared so i grabbed her and brought her home with me. though my mother won't allow me to take care of her i still kept her cuase i was worried she would die if i take her back in the street.

The first pet I was responsible for was a dog. He was a pure-bread, all white, Great Pyreenes puppy, that we named "Powder" (from the movie, because he was white). Talk about love at first sight! Powder was so cute, he looked like a little furry snowball. Gosh, I loved him so much...I know a lot of people think their pets are extra special, but Powder really was. He had this ability to sense your mood--Like, whenever I was sad, he would come and sit beside me, and he'd put his head or paw in my lap. And he would just sit there until I felt better. I miss him...
