Death-- Everybody's doing it...

So how do you feel about dying? Not to be morose or anything, just you know... What do you think about it? It’s been on my mind lately just because (a) You hear something about it ever 20 minutes and… (b) I’ve been watching this hilarious show called Dead Like Me (a Showtime show that you can watch through alluc.org) which takes a light approach to the subject I’ve really been thinking about whether it’s really as bad as people think. I wanted to see it from a scholarly view so I typed “dead” into dictionary.com and got “no longer living; deprived of life.” Short ‘n’ sweet, huh. But that’s really not how I feel. Death isn’t just the lack of something, it has a substance of its own. Nobody knows what is behind that curtain of fatality. And there is no way we will ever be able to tell. It’s the ultimate mystery, bigger than what’s living on Mars or the whereabouts of Bigfoot. This is something we will truly NEVER find out until it is our own turn. Exciting, isn’t it. So personally, I’m not afraid of Death. Not to sound like a noose-hanger or a concrete-shoed swimmer but I can’t wait for it to happen. What will I feel? What will I do? Where will I go? Hopefully not where Bigfoot is.
