My birthday

I used to look forward to my b-day a lot when I was younger, but after a couple of bad ones, I just see it as a regular day. I've never done the same thing every birthday. Last year I just rented and watched some movies with my dad. That was it, but with the way my last couple of b-days had been, it was definitely an upgrade.

I guess people hate their birthdays and end up feeling depressed because they're are 1 year older. For me, I'm 28f but I feel the same as I was when I was 18. I get carded all the time and people think I'm still in high school. If you feel young and act young, you'll look young :-) Maybe when I hit 30, then I'll start panicking LOL Anyway, enjoy your 20s girlfriend because we're not getting it back! LOL

Happy birthday mystic2mom :) I pretty much do what you do and wait for the weekend to do something nice with my hubby and son. This year they took me to a diner for lunch and then i was able to pick any movie i wanted to go to. Now and then i get a surprise gift, mostly money or gift cards to spend on whatever I want.

Your birthday sounds like mine. Heck, my anniversary and mother's day is the same way. I'm sure this won't make you feel better, but it's nice to know I'm not alone. Thank you. Here's wishing you a happy birthday anyway. You deserve it!

Happy Birthday! I haven't done anything for my birthday in forever it seems, not cine before I had kids.

Well, try not to think that way. If you think you will always have a bad time during birthdays, then you will always have a bad time. It's what we call a self-fulfilling prophecy. So do cheer up and let this birthday be the start of your new series of happy birthdays!! ;-)

I feel the same. My birthday is no different than any other day, except I might get breakfast in bed. Well, I am going to wish you a very happy birthday and I hope you have a wonderful time. Keep smiling - it helps...lol.

Being a mom too I spend my birthdays the same way! Nothing special-not like a day off or anything...

It is hard when you have children to look after but why not buy a cake or make one with your children and have a family party even if it is just you and the children and take some photos to keep in an album, you will like looking at these with your children when they are older. try to do something each year with them as you would on their birthday, they will enjoy it too, it is never to late to start enjoying your birthday and starting some new family traditions. Happy birthday.

many many happy returns of the day....to you..and i am feeling really sorry as you are not enjoying...i enjoy too much on this day with my friends..and with my family when i am present in home that day..i used to get so many gift on that day..its reallya nicefeeling..i am getting older every year and i feel that on my birthday ..its coming on 28th april..and i will be of 21 this time...
