owning your own business versus contract

Hey everyone I found that I did not have enough cash flow to go into business for my self, I knew one thing that I was sure of, I did not want to work for anyone else and dealing with the rat race of having a job that I had to report to every day so I decided to work from home and love it, but there's one problem I don't really like doing what I do which is customer service over the phone, which is contract work it's basically the same as working for my self, but I'm looking for something I can do from home that I can make enough income to live on, any suggestions?

If you can find anything like that online then good for you. If you are from the US there must be some more optios available for home-workers. Over here there is not much option I know for online work.
