When was the last time you had a tetanus shot?

Tetanus is very dangerous and I am amazed at the amount of people in the USA that will step on a rusty nail and don't go for a tetanus shot. When is your tetanus shot due? Have you had a tetanus shot recently? If not why not?

i can't remember. i know for my job this summer (working with children) i had to give them my vaccination records and get TB tests and i was up to date with everything so i guess my tetanus shot is up to date too!

Good to know that everything is OK. anyway, maybe you can take a list of vaccination expiration dates. I have one and I check it at beginning of year ;)

Thank you for your responses it is good to know when your vaccinations expire. The tetanus shot is good for 10 years.

I just had one last year.People seem to try to avoid them because they do not want a shot. If they would think of how serious tetanus can be they would reconsider,and se how important it is to keep up with them

i've never had a tetanus shot as far as i can remember. tetanus is extremely dangerous, and may even be fatal if left untreated. i think people need to be educated more about this. prevention is always better than cure, so massive information dissemination must be implemented at once.

Tetanus shots are not only administered for rusty nails and the like. I had one when a ferral cat bit and scratched me. I was told by my GP they last about 7 years.

last time i had tetanus shot was quite some year back ..i know whenever we are hurt badly it is always recomeded to get tetenus shot ..as it stops the infection
