Sport is very big in Australia. In some smaller country towns, sport is the only way people get to socialise. I would say our biggest sport is Australian Rules Football. When I was a teenager, my Father and I would drive all the way to Adelaide (350kms) and back again, in one day, just to watch a football match. Nowadays I am far more into swimming, not myself, but because my daughter is a competitive swimmer. What is your countries favourite sport? Do you play asny sport?

In America, people argue over whether it's American football or baseball.I love both of them as well as hockey although unfortunatley, hockey is no where near as big as baseball and football. I don't play any sports now, but i used to play street hocky, field hockey, and softball

My country's fav sport is Cricket. We play & watch cricket. Everywhere cricket is there, from child to old person. When any match is telecast on TV, most of guys watch it for some time at least all over India. It is interesting sport also. Then next comes to Football. In eastern part of India, it is most popular game. People like it very much. When such matches happen in India, very less attendance is observed in office. To watch final cricket match I too take leave and watch from the very biginning to end of the match, result may be any.

afl nfl - football
In the States I'd have to say FOOTBALL. Just look at the worldwide attention for the Super Bowl every year. I played baseball in High School one year. I got to play in an exhibition game for charity against my hometown Detroit Tigers at Tiger Stadium downtown Detroit and hit a home run against Denny McClain one of the best pictures of the late 60's early 70's. I played softball a few years back with my A.A. club. It was hilarious as I have bronchial asthma. I'd get halw way to first base and the ump would ask if I'll make it. HAHAHA!! Thanks and as always...... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

America's favorite pastime is said to be baseball. But let's be honest, football (not soccer) is king over here. It is not even funny how crazy people are about football.

mi from Manila, Philippines! BASKETBALL is played here often... its a great sport in our country, tho our race goes around the average height of 5'4" - 5'10" well as of now... thanks to the miracle of medicine and others... *lol* we do have decent tall people... but i tell yah.. the whole country loves this sport that you can see mini courts on every street corner.. courts of different shapes and sizes.. we do have smaller communities here called "Barangay" and they all held sporting events for basketball all year round... aint that FUN???
