grilled cheese sandwich / myLot

last night i cooked some grilled cheese sandwich. but i thought of putting it of some smoked bacon to add some favor my goodness it was so yummmy and tasty. i hope some restaurants will add this recipe in their restaurants even coffee shops. :)

you take 2 pieces of bread...butter one side of each pice of bread. then you have a hot skillet....put one piece of bread-with the butter down in the skillet. You put cheese--and any other of the yummy toppings mentioned on top of the ceese. then you take the other piece of bread and put in on top, with the butter side out. When the bottom gets toasted, you flip the sandwich with a spatula...and let the other side get toasted! :)

It is also very good if you coat your pan with some olive oil, instead of spreading the butter - this gives a nice crispy and flavorful alternative. I first did this because I have a hard time spreading butter without tearing the bread. I suppose I should not leave my butter in the fridge. Both ways are very effective and flavorful.

That is what we had for dinner!! When I make my grilled cheese I LOVE puttint tomato slices in between two slices of cheese, I started doing it whan I was pregnant with my daughter and it is just the best thing ever!! I also like to put garlic salt on the butter side of the bread...yummy!!!

I love grilled cheese sandwiches. I also like tomato sandwiches. I've never thought of adding them together. Thanks for the idea.

the restaraunt i cook at has a grilled cheese much like that, with bacon and tomato..

That is very good, especially with the slice of tomato. other add ins we like on our grilled cheese sandwiches are: Jalepeno peppers salsa mustard ham and just recently I made them with smoked kippers and thought they were fantastic! grilled cheese is a classic, and always better served with tomato soup! mmm mmmm,
